We just visited Reptile at Vision Expo and saw all their latest and greatest sunglasses.

There was a great new wrap, the Crocodile, two new aviator styles, the Indo and the Terrapin, a sassy feminine style the Stilletto and more.

The exceptional quality of Reptile was present but taken to a new level. They have mastered a technology that allows them to offer fully polarized gradient lenses in both glass and polycarbonate. Look for these lenses in the Indo, Terrapin and Stilletto styles.

Day 1 of Vision Expo and what a day it was…

First we met with Bevel and Orgreen and were shown a beautiful new collection with clean lines, amazing colors and clever names. Somehow I dropped the ball and didn’t snap any photos as we checked out the line.

We stopped by Face a Face and not only dug the new frames but also loved their new limited edition frame set, The Bocca…

From Theo we went to Salt Optics which unveiled yet another collection of solid, wearable ophthalmic frames and lovely new suns…20120325-224203.jpg
Anne et Valentin showed us another great, unique collection and some hot new colors like this turquoise spotted tortoise…

The day wrapped up with an old favorite. The French eyewear line Vuarnet is making a comeback offering the same classic styles and amazing lenses…

Some of our crew is visiting New York for our annual journey to Vision Expo East, always watching for the latest and greatest eyewear to offer you on both our site and a our brick and mortar stores.
This year has a packed schedule meeting with many of our tried and true designers like Face a Face, Theo and Anne et Valentin to some amazing lines of yesteryear that are coming back on the scene like Matsuda and Vuarnet.
With so many great designers and manufacturers in one place we’re sure to have an epic collection of frames coming to all the Europtics location for spring and summer.

I know you have all been extremely curious as to what sunglasses Nick Nolte was wearing on the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday night, and now (if you haven’t read our Facebook) I am here to tell you: Wiley X Slik. If you thought Wiley X only sold sporty sunglasses, now you know differently. If Nick Nolte can wear them to the Oscars, you can dress up your every day suit with them, too!

I wanted to write today about the Barton Perreira Dillinger sunglasses. These are a very cool, vintage style of sunglasses.
