What you focus on expands…
All this talk of cat-eye sunglasses and I log in to online news and see a link to this pic of Scarlet Johansson rocking some awesome cat eye sunglasses. Her outfit appears to be vintage so the glasses may be as well. However there are a number of current eyewear designers revisiting the cat eye look if you want to recreate this.

This month the LA Times featured an article about Victor Drai and his partners Cy and Jesse Wyatt. The three form the holy trinity when it comes to creation of top notch, a list night clubs. Responsible for clubs in LA and Las Vegas the three are preparing to launch their latest gem, Drai’s Hollywood. The club will be perched atop the W hotel at Hollywood and Vine and will no doubt be the “it” spot when it opens the end of February.

I just read this news article and couldn’t be more thrilled to see it. As I sit here in my large oversized LA Eyeworks eyeglasses feeling nerdy chic it was nice to see I’m not alone. Stars like Justin Timberlake, the Jonas brothers, Robert Downey Jr and Christina Hendricks have all sported big, bold , thick rimmed glasses at awards shows recently. And, they have all looked fabulous.

I always enjoy a quick flip through news articles related to eyewear and just finished reading one related to sunglasses regarding the Williams’ mother. This article mentions that she often wears big, dark sunglasses to their matches so that she can sleep while they play. Just one more use for a good pair of eyewear.
