I spoke with Joyce at our Park Meadows Mall Europtics store today, and she’s wearing her favorite eyeglass frames. She actually loved the Lafont Ambiance so much, she bought it in 2 different colors! Today, she was wearing the red frame. She loves the color, and said it’s such a perfect red. It took her a long time to find a red frame she liked, and this one fits the bill. The acetate frame is 2-toned, and has a lighter, flowered pattern on the back. This makes it appear a little lighter, and not as overpowering. This is very important in a red frame. The other color she loves is a blue plaid. It’s got some purple in it, and just shimmers a little bit. If you like cooler tones, this color is perfect for you.

The Lafont Ambiance is a soft bowtie shape, and is great for women, because it has a beautiful uplift that is great for any woman.

We love Lafont frames, and urge you to check them out!

I’ve been speaking with Sarah at our Flat Iron Marketplace Europtics, and her favorite sunglasses of the season are the Vera Wang Arnaude in color BR. She loved it so much she bought it herself! She says when she wears these sunglasses she feels like a million bucks. She loves the gold sparkle and shine and gets lots of attention and compliments when she wears them. They’re comfortable as well, and do an excellent job of blocking the sun.

This feminine frame has a rounded square shape made for women. The temples are thicker, in keeping with the style, and they also block some sunshine from the side. The lenses will accomodate almost any prescription and work great for progressive lenses or bifocals, too.

Vera Wang personall oversees all the processes of her frames, to make sure they meet her quality and fashion standards.

I spoke with Shane in our Cherry Creek Store this morning. His current favorite glasses are the ones he’s wearing; the Chrome Hearts Gittin Any? glasses. He considers them a throwback to the 40′s, and very geek chic. Shane feels they’re larger than life, and loves the fact that they’re designed to be bold and beautiful. These glasses will definitely get you comments when you wear them!

Chrome Hearts makes more high end glasses and sunglasses. You may be familiar with the name, as they also do a lot of jewelry. It’s more of a “gothic” look, usually, with old-style crosses and fleur de lis as well. All of the detailing on the glasses and sunglasses is sterling silver. Chrome Hearts usually has a heavier style and look, but when you put them on, they fit well. The sterling tends to make them heavier in feel, but they balance it well, so they don’t slide off your face. If you’re looking for “jewelry for your face,” I highly recommend giving Chrome Hearts a look. Our brick and mortar stores carry them, and you can always email us if you have specific questions.

I asked Dan what his favorite pair of glasses was, and he was very excited about his newest glasses, the Salt Langford’s. He thinks the look is very fashionable these days, with the plastic look, and the heavy frame. He really likes the fact that they’re so comfortable, and loves the Midnight Fade color.

The heavy plastic retro look, synonymous with Salt eyeglasses, is very much in style these days, with many frame designers looking to the past for their inspirations. These are reminiscent of the 50′s glasses, and have a bit of a “geek chic” look to them.

Salt is a smaller company, and is very cognizant of the quality of their products. They use some of the best quality metal and acetate, and have knowledgeable artisans working with them. This really comes through when you see and feel their glasses and sunglasses. You can feel the quality as soon as you touch them, and it’s brought home when you put them on. Comfortable and fashionable. What more could you ask for?

I was speaking with Bob at our Park Meadows location, and he told me his favorite frame lately is the Mykita Barney. He says that not everyone agrees with him, but he just loves these frames. He says they’ve got a really unique look. He calls it “retro styling meets industrial design.” The Barney is a thicker looking frame, which fits well with the retro styling, and the frame front is made out of a single sheet of surgical stainless steel, which fits well with the industrial design.

Bob likes these frames because they have no screws or solder points. He considers this a “no fail” design, because there’s no weak part of the frame to break. The temples are a single piece of surgical stainless steel, as well, and they hook together via an ingenious hinge design. They are German made, and that does imply a level of quality and skill above what you will find many places. These frames are amazing, and have a very different look!
